Better Eats. Unbaked Brownies.

Want something delicious, chocolate and sweet? Better yet, want something delicious, chocolate and sweet with no refined sugar?!!

YES! You do! I discovered this recipe on Pinterest, followed the link and landed on .

I made minor edits to the recipe:


  • 2½ cups loosely packed pitted dates
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts
  • 6 tbsp Hershey’s dark cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg (optional)


Line 8×8 pan with parchment paper and set aside. In food processor, combine brownie ingredients (it will be thick, do not add additional water). Blend until smooth, scraping down as needed. Press mixture into pan.

Combine all frosting ingredients in small bowl and whisk until smooth (it will look like black gold). Pour on top of brownies in pan and spread with spatula.

Chill in fridge for 2-3 hours. Cut into squares, share with friends and enjoy!
